How we transformed this block paving project

This Stoke-on-Trent property had an ageing, uneven driveway that had seen better days. The homeowners wanted a clean, modern finish that would boost kerb appeal and provide a durable, low-maintenance surface for years to come.

We began by excavating the existing surface and preparing a solid MOT Type 1 sub-base, carefully setting levels and falls to ensure proper drainage away from the property. The Block Paving was then laid in a herringbone pattern with contrasting border blocks to frame the driveway and create a smart, finished appearance.

Once all cuts and edges were completed, the surface was compacted and kiln-dried sand brushed into the joints, leaving a stable, clean and professionally finished block paved driveway that completely transformed the front of the property.
